Born Vanessa Joy Minnillo at USAF Clark Regional Medical Center in Angeles, Pampanga, Philippines, Vanessa Lachey is an army brat who grew up to be a TV sensation. She moved often as a child, living in Washington, California, Nevada, Florida, Germany, and Japan and attending eight different schools in nine years. She was a runner-up to replace Brooke Burke on E!’s Wild On, but she did get to hang out at the MTV Beach House in 2003, which led to landing a regular VJ spot on Total Request Live and a fling with New York Yankee Derek Jeter.
